Trapped on the Thames

From 30th September to 30th October 2024, after returning from a week in Cornwall, we found ourselves red-boarded on the Thames at Sandford Lock and couldn’t proceed to on to the Kennet & Avon Canal. It wasn’t all doom & gloom. We had a safe mooring by the lock and the lock-keeper arranged water & electricity for us. We were right by a pub – The King’s Arms – with very friendly staff. And we had our campervan parked nearby as well as it being an easy bus ride in to Oxford. UPDATE (31/10/24): Still here!
